The short version: We collect only what we need to run BizCredBuildr, we never sell your data, and you can delete your account and all associated data at any time.
1. Who we are
BizCredBuildr ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered business credit building platform accessible at bizcredbuildr.com. We are committed to protecting your personal information and your right to privacy.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you provide directly to us:
- Account information: Email address or phone number used to create your account
- Business information: Business name, EIN, address, SIC code, DUNS number, and other credit-building details you enter
- Financial data: Account limits, payment schedules, and credit scores you record in the platform
- Usage data: How you interact with features, pages visited, actions taken
Sensitive identifiers. Some lenders require the business owner's Social Security Number on a credit application that carries a personal guarantee. Where you choose to provide it, your SSN is encrypted at rest and is never displayed back to you in full, never written to our logs, and never returned by our API. On the personal-credit side we store only the last four digits.
Payment details. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number, expiry, or security code — we retain only the card brand, last four digits, and expiry month/year that Stripe returns to us, so you can recognise your saved card.
Credit report data. If you upload or import a credit report, it is stored under your account and used only to analyse your credit and prepare disputes you direct us to prepare.
You may ask us to delete your SSN, your credit report data, or your entire account at any time — see "Your rights" below.
3. How we use your information
- To provide and improve the BizCredBuildr platform
- To send OTP codes and password reset emails you request
- To generate AI-powered credit recommendations specific to your business profile
- To send account-related notifications (payment reminders, tier upgrades)
- To comply with legal obligations
4. Information sharing
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share information with:
- Service providers: Hosting (Hetzner), email delivery (SMTP), and payment processing (Stripe) — each bound by confidentiality agreements
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect our rights
5. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
6. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including HTTPS encryption, bcrypt password hashing, JWT authentication, and rate limiting. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
7. Cookies
BizCredBuildr uses localStorage to store your authentication token and app preferences. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels.
8. Children's privacy
BizCredBuildr is intended for business owners and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
9. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of non-essential communications

10. Deleting your data
You can request deletion of your account and the personal information we hold about you by emailing privacy@bizcredbuildr.com. We will delete or de-identify your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records — for example, records of disputes we prepared on your instruction, which we keep so we can evidence what was sent and when if a bureau or furnisher later asks.
You may also ask us to delete your Social Security Number specifically while keeping your account. Doing so means we can no longer prepare lender applications that require it.
11. Safeguarding your information
We treat the information you give us as confidential financial information. Sensitive identifiers are encrypted at rest, access is restricted to the account that owns the data, and our systems are designed so that one customer can never read another customer's records. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise — but we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share your credit data with third parties except the credit bureaus, furnishers, or lenders you direct us to contact on your behalf.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or a prominent notice in the app.
